Federal immigration officials, working together with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, have taken over 100 people into custody in a major operation, leaving many in Nashville’s immigrant community feeling anxious and uncertain.
The Highway Patrol said on Friday that they made 588 stops during the joint operation with ICE, which resulted in 103 people being taken into custody for immigration violations.
“All signs point to this being racial profiling intended to terrorize the heart of the immigrant and refugee community,” Sherman Luna said. “What we’ve heard is that THP is flagging people down for things like a broken taillight or tinted windows.”
Sherman Luna believes some of those detained might be able to stay in the country if they had good legal help during an immigration hearing. Instead, she says many people are agreeing to be deported because they are afraid they could spend months or even years in immigration detention.

841·7 days agoIt’s a pretty hilarious interview. He said to give trump more time to, and then he almost said fix it, but he said change course or something like that. That dude is delusional and the wrong color for trump’s liking. Trump will not care that he said these things.

I still think trump is going after all manufacturing, tech and science, so he can control it. It’s a very mob thing to do and it’s kind of working. All of tech showed up at his inauguration and gave a shit ton of money. I’m willing to guess that manufacturing did too, they’re just not household names.

They’re still not great, but better. If you don’t hear from in a week or so, check your order. It might have been cancelled. They do give refunds within a certain window though.
